Link for those of you who can't (won't?) play the above I know I haven't posted in a while but it's awesome so I'm posting this everywhere. His name is Hiromitsu Agamatsu and he's a renowned prodigy of sorts on the shamisen, introducing a modern twist on an instrument of great antiquity. It can be haunting and beautiful whilst having a unique presence due to the modern musical angle. The movement of the music, style and expression is all really quite cool, being marketed as "Neo-Classical Japanese" by some.
