-One thing I appreciate about Mabinogi is that every so often, the different servers hold a design competition in which the users can submit different designs in certain categories for wearable items in the game. Recently the Taiwanese server had such a competition with these three categories - clothing, armour and robes. The winners get their designs turned into in-game clothes as well as receiving their particular item for free. In this particular competition, the top 10 designs for each category also received 10 dye ampules with the winner getting an additional 10.

-I was going over some of the hobby-blogs I follow and found that some guy had found a bunch of pics of the character cards from the old zoids card game.

Cue lots and lots and lots of characters including some that even Tilly isn't familiar with. Of interest to me is that with some of the characters having additional subfaction emblems next to their main faction emblem, there's an alternate Eisen Dragoon emblem (the stylised purple dragon head) which a lot of the Guylos pilots have but only Wolff seems to have the ED emblem we're used to. Something I quite appreciate as well is that there are pilots that look "Good" and "Bad" on both sides.
And is it just me or does that Gilvy pilot look a bit Disgaea-ish? |

* Kai, seems to signify that it's a revamped version or some sort of "upgrade" of sorts.
Where to start? I don't know really so I'll just say that these prices are all tax-inclusive so sites like HLJ should have em for slightly less (tax is around 5% or so). Also, if someone could suggest a better word for the Dosgodos I'd be much obliged. The online dictionary gave me this.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm inclined to think that the anime anniversary Shield Liger comes with some bonus material. Even with inflation, 4,200 yen isn't a small price. If anything it's the exact same price the HMM Shieldy was when it came out.

Word is that there's a new zoids anime coming out to coincide with the upcoming Rebirth Century line. Word also has it that Gilvader, King Gojulas and Orudious will be involved. Stay tuned. Scratch that, I shouldn't trust anyone I don't know to try and translate an article in a Japanese Hobby Magazine >_< Stupid gits >_>
This is what was said according to my friend:
sorry, but it had nothing to do with a new anime series...
something about going back to their roots and setting this new series back in ZAC2056 to attract fans who used to watch the anime
actually, looking at the first section of the second page it seems they're quite reluctant to create another anime series
because when they coupled anime with zoids before, the production of the zoids itself seemed rather automative and they lacked that individual 'charm'
yeah, something like that
but who knows! they might be forced into creating a new series |

An offering from Ehobby (normally known for doing transformer recolours), likely this is a side-effect of the Takara - Tomy merger.
Primarily available for sale at the Tokyo Toy Show running from the 19th to 22nd of June at the Tokyo Big Site for 1,500 yen, most of us probably can't get one this way :p
Some will be available via ehobby's site though as a "lot". One can apply for this lot from July the 1st through to 6pm on July the 7th but entry is limited to 1 per person, ehobby will be cancelling all orders from anyone they see trying to cheat the system :o |

6,380 yen for a Red Blade Liger with the Attack Booster Unit. I'm fairly sure most of us saw this coming xp Not sure on other details yet, whatever listing was up at zoidscore seems to have disappeared. Post to be updated when I get more details.

Now I'm sure that a rocket scientist isn't needed to point out the obvious but I'll say it anyway. Bar the Zoids Monthly Graphics volumes 4 through to 6, these zoids are unusually cheap. Referring back to an earlier post of mine the comparison between the standard retail prices and Toy-wave's prices are rather shocking (in a good way that is). 12,600 yen for a King Gojulas by current exchange rates equates to US$120.54 but Toy-wave has it listed for US$88. Even if the shipping from Hong-Kong is more expensive than say, Japan for you, a price difference of that size looks like it could wipe that shipping difference out and still be looking good. For further reference, I've found out the equivalent of the standard yen prices and compared them to Toy-wave's.
12,600yen = US$120.54 > US$88
8,400yen = US$80.34 > US$58
2,625yen = US$25.10 > US$18
2,100 yen = US$20.08 > US$14
1,800 yen = US$17.21 > US$12 (though less than US$24.90 o_o)
I don't know about you but that looks pretty good for me except for aforementioned volumes of Zoids Graphics. As a disclaimer, the prices in yen mentioned above are likely inclusive of tax so places like HLJ which aren't required to place taxes on products sent overseas will likely offer their wares for slightly less unless everyone's in on this seemingly special deal. All in all, banzai Ken! Here's hoping that this is real!
In other news, HLJ has started pre-orders for the HMM Command Wolf AC. Naturally I've already placed mine.

According to Kotobukiya's site, there will be "media" pertaining to a Molga in the upcoming Hobby Japan and Blitz/Dengeki Hobby magazines. Limited is apparently to be a "canory".
If any of you folks go to sites that share hobby magazine scans (God knows there's a million of em if you know where to look) then keep an eye out on the 25th of this month! |

A few things to say here. The Neogodos and mess of a name are suspected to be new zoids whilst everything else would seem to be an OJR reissue. Of which, Gilvader was expected (Hello Gildragon) but King Gojulas is out of left field. What's disconcerting though are these prices. The aforementioned Gildragon was 6,000yen shelf price upon it's release, whereas this Gilvader is looking to cost an extra 2,400yen. King Gojulas being the spectacular fatass he is goes straight into the five figure mark.
Everything from the left column is supposedly slated for release late September whereas the Graphics follow the standard monthly release schedule (7th issue is out in the seventh month, 8th issue out in the 8th month etc).

Not much info on it, waiting on my friend Tomo to recover from "partying" so as to get him to translate it. As one can see it not only has a revamped CP-04 on it (those leg boosters still look silly) but also has a miniature rotary cannon on it's right shoulder and what appears to be a "launcher" on it's left.
Supposedly slated for a summer release which isn't too far off really. |

Also, in other news I've decided on a new "direction" of sorts for my LJ. Anything about zoids, robots, games, anime, hobby stuff and fandom stuff in general will be public and free for all to read (though comments may be screened or even blocked altogether) whilst everything else is friends only. Not that anyone outside my friend's list generally views my journal but hey.
If anyone has stuff they'd like me to report back on then say so and I'll stick it here. For now I can only really think of mentioning zoids-based stuff here but I'll probably add Saint Seiya stuff amongst other things later on down the track. This means I should probably use tags to keep better track of things neh? xp |
